About Us


Hudson Valley Malayalee Association started in 1981 to provide forum of the Indian Malayalees residing in the Hudson Valley region to foster their moral, social, educational, literary, artistic, and cultural heritage.

HVMA should be an incorporated, non-profit organization that has constitution and by-laws.

Association has Malayalam School known as Vidya Jyothi, Official Magazine known as Kerala Jyothi, Official Website known as www.hvma.net,  and conducting numerous programs and activities for our community’s well being and its progress.

These programs and activities are roughly include Recognition of talented students with scholarship awards, celebration of high school graduates, association’s inaugural celebration, Vidya Jyothi anniversary functions, yearly picnic, tournaments, fund raiser program, participation of India Day Parade, conducting of Health Fair, Onam Celebration, Christmas and New Year celebration and other timely meetings and cultural activities.

HVMA is one of the largest Malayalee Associations in North America Continent. Its total active membership enrollees is over six hundred.
